One of the first recipes I adapted to the Caveman Diet was keftedes. They’re Greek meatballs and they’re fantastic! I did it for one of Mark Sisson’s primal contests this last summer. I had to make a few changes to traditional keftedes recipes and it seems I wasn’t able to please anyone with it. Those following the primal diet were critical of it because it wasn’t primal enough and Greeks and Cretans (people from Crete) were offended that I had changed their beloved recipe and used (gasp) lard to fry them in. As a great philosopher once said “But it’s all right now, I’ve learned my lesson well. You see, you can’t please everyone, so you’ve got to please yourself.”
Mark was supportive though and sent me a free “Grok On!” T-shirt for entering the contest, which was very cool.
Anyway, hopefully you will see how exceptional this video clearly is. :)

Actually, I remember this video and remember really liking it. I thought it should have won because it was original, (looked) delicious, and it was a good example of how people can adapt a recipe to something more primal and it also showed the different gradients of people moving towards a primal lifestyle, something Mark seems to be trying to advocate as an “all or nothing” approach scares a lot of would-be readers. I’ve actually taken your idea and make my own version of Greek meatballs with tzatziki wrapped in lettuce somewhat regularly.
Anyway, hi, just found your site today. I like it. And I’m your neighbor! I’m in Chandler at least.
Great site, I may lift your shrimp curry for dinner tomorrow. :-)

Thanks Karell. I thought it should have won too. :) Feel free to lift any recipe you want, that’s what they’re for. Tons more coming too.
